When taking on AC Thomas House Mary Beth Guard and her husband Michael have taken the fine art of being the perfect hosts to a new extreme. While they wear many different hats, their heart and soul is with making people feel great as guests.

Our wonderful house manager, Clarissa inspires our happy guests to write reviews and fill our guestbook with wonderful compliments about her warm welcome, rich historic knowledge of the A.C. Thomas House, and New Harmony. She is always pleased to share inside information and recommendations on all the best places to see and things to do around town. Her beautifully presented table settings, fresh bakes and breakfast service are second to none. The pride and passion she brings to her work is greatly appreciated by everyone she comes in contact with.
The real bonus is the House Managers
There is something very special about the AC Thomas House. The house itself is full of some of the most beautiful floor to ceiling woodwork I’ve ever seen. But the real bonus is the House Managers, Clarissa and Mahlon, who are personable, caring, and just plain on it! We enjoyed the delicious breakfasts, clearly made with love. We are so glad we found this home away from home in New Harmony!

PLEASE NOTE: Because of the historic nature of our furnishings, children are only permitted to stay in the Gallery Suite.
Meals and Kitchen
Please note: for whole house rentals, the kitchen provides a full compliment of cookware, flatware, utensils, platters and other serving items. We provide and abundant spice rack, olive oil and soy sauce for your convenience. There are ample coffee cups, wine glasses and other serving items available for you and your guests.
Guests who book the Loft Suite or the Gallery Suite have a refrigerator/freezer in their Suite, along with coffee pot and microwave.

Please note. There is an additional one time cleaning and laundry fee of $250 for the Whole House rental automatically added to your Whole House booking.

Cancellation Policy
90% of paid prepayments refundable (minus the fees charged by our credit card processor) when canceled two months before arrival or earlier.

50% of paid prepayments minus (minus the fees charged by our credit card processor) when canceled 14 days before arrival or earlier.

0% of paid prepayments refundable when canceled after.
Rooms:
90% of paid prepayments refundable (minus the credit card processor fees) when canceled 14 days before arrival or earlier.

75% of paid prepayments refundable (minus the credit card processor fees) when canceled 7 days before arrival or earlier.

50% of paid prepayments refundable (minus the credit card processor fees) when canceled 2 days before arrival or earlier.

Damage Protection Policy
Whole House bookings require a refundable $1,500 damage deposit. Refunds made within 72 hours of check out inspection.
