The house has four stories covering 6500 square feet with a dramatic and spacious portico, and three spacious stories with unique accommodations for up to 18 persons.
There are five Victorian bedrooms on the second floor. The largest is the Taft Room named for the president who was a guest of A.C. Thomas and stayed in this room. The other second floor rooms are named for modern British Royals: Princess Diana; Prince William; Princess Catherine, and Prince Harry.
The spectacular Loft Suite with it's dramatic high ceiling is on the on the 3rd floor.
The Gallery Suite, a 2 bedroom apartment with a separate entrance, occupies the lower level.

I was treated like a queen in the Princess Catherine room
The furniture and accessories are period perfect with so much to look at one could spend the whole visit exploring and exclaiming. However, it was the attitude of “what can we do for you to make this stay perfect?” that really impressed me.
Prince William Room
Prince William is an exquisite, unique triangular room with ornate period decor and a new queen-size mattress.
The Prince William Room shares a secure doorway to Princess Catherine that allows these rooms to be joined for couples or friends who want to share rooms but prefer their own beds.
The rooms are east-facing, super sunny, and also share a Juliet balcony overlooking the beautiful park across the lovely tree-lined street. When booked separately, each room is totally private.

Princess Diana Room
Princess Diana is a bright and spacious room on the second floor of the historic A.C. Thomas House, a magnificent Victorian Mansion located in the heart of lovely New Harmony, Indiana.
This stunning and spacious room features an ornate ceiling that is classic for the Victorian era. Other features include a cozy double bed, antique furniture and a newly remodeled modern ensuite with clawfoot bath and a separate walk in shower.
A screened in porch provides a view over the English garden.

The Loft Luxury Suite
The spacious Loft Suite with its 14 foot ceilings is flush with natural light, views over the park, and wonderful spaces to relax and recharge. A kitchenette and washer and dryer are also found in the Loft Suite, along with a 60" television and a dining table for two.

Gallery Suite
The incredibly roomy Gallery Suite features two bedrooms, one queen and two twins, and 1 1/2 bathrooms, along with a large living room, dining room, and an efficiency kitchen.
In the Gallery Suite, ground level windows invite abundant natural lighting and offer views of the manicured surrounding grounds, while inside a large private collection of photographs capture the essence of New Harmony.

Relax and enjoy the exquisite English garden, featuring a grand metal scrollwork gazebo. The garden is perfectly suited for small weddings, garden parties, or simply enjoying a beverage while listening to birdsong and watching butterflies in the spring and summer months.

Each morning we pamper our guests with a specially prepared, beautifully presented meal service. With advanced notice, we can accomodate special dietary requirements.
Coffee to die for
Our coffee is delicious. It's our special A.C. Thomas House blend. We get it roasted just up the road at Black Lodge Coffee Roasters, 610 Church Street.

PLEASE NOTE: Because of the historic nature of our furnishings, children are only permitted to stay in the Gallery Suite.
Meals and Kitchen
Please note: for whole house rentals, the kitchen provides a full compliment of cookware, flatware, utensils, platters and other serving items. We provide and abundant spice rack, olive oil and soy sauce for your convenience. There are ample coffee cups, wine glasses and other serving items available for you and your guests.
Guests who book the Loft Suite or the Gallery Suite have a refrigerator/freezer in their Suite, along with coffee pot and microwave.

Please note. There is an additional one time cleaning and laundry fee of $250 for the Whole House rental automatically added to your Whole House booking.

90% of paid prepayments refundable (minus the fees charged by our credit card processor) when canceled two months before arrival or earlier.

Rooms:

Damage Protection Policy
Whole House bookings require a refundable $1,500 damage deposit. Refunds made within 72 hours of check out inspection.
